This fridge is loaded with features, from an in-the-door Keurig K-cup coffee maker to a sophisticated water dispenser. But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. The refrigerator is expensive and I was expecting better.

Other than that however, this refrigerator is a fantastic choice. It has a large freezer compartment, which is quite uncommon in counter-depth French door fridges, and it holds a fair amount of frozen food as compared to similar models.

The fridge is equipped with 17 shelves and compartments. The fridge compartment is 18.5 cubic feet, which is standard for a fridge with a French door at this price. It also has a decent-sized icemaker in the left door, but it isn't the largest I've seen.

You can adjust the shelves in both compartments to create a the perfect storage solution. The GE PYE22PYNFS's interior design is good-looking, too. The LED lighting adds an appealing feature. The bins for storage inside include a third shelf that can be folded down to store tall items. The drawers come with temperature controls, so you can set them for Meat, Beverage, or Deli settings. They're easy to open and close, although I found their plastic textured coatings to be a little difficult on the fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator comes with the complete set of features you'd expect from a refrigerator in this price range with Wi-Fi and app support through GE's SmartHQ software. The app is available on iOS and Android devices and lets you control your refrigerator from anywhere around the world. It also has many options for customization. It also alerts you when doors are left open, when your fridge or freezer needs to be defrosted and when it's time to change the filter.

It would be great to have GE PYE22PYNFS could offer Precise Fill the option that is available in a handful of GE refrigerators that allows users to set the amount of cups they wish to dispense. It does offer a countdown on the fridge's display to show how much water you have left, but it's not as helpful as Precise Fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The Bosch French-door Refrigerator is a stunning piece of equipment. It's designed to appear like a seamless piece in your kitchen. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also boasts a veggie compartment to keep vegetables and fruits fresher for longer, and two compressors for maximum food preservation. The ice maker we tested is one of the most efficient, and it produces the shape of a pyramid using only water. This fridge is ideal for a small household or kitchenette that needs an elegant design and top of the line food preservation.

This refrigerator was the highest-rated refrigerator in our Refrigerators Test for various reasons. Its freezer temperatures remained constant at just above 0° Fahrenheit and never changed more than a fraction - this is crucial to prevent freezing burn. The fridge's refrigerator section also performed well, reaching the desired temperature for initial set within an hour and keeping that temperature steady throughout the course of our tests.

Bosch has a reputation for high-end appliances and appliances, so it's not a surprise that this counter depth refrigerator is also a smart appliance, with the option of connecting to your home Wi-Fi and Bosch's Home Connect platform. This app lets you monitor and manage your fridge remotely using your smartphone or tablet. The fridge is a bit expensive, but it offers excellent features and functionality for the price.

It is important to know the limitations of the fridge. It has a small space for shelves, so you'll have to think creatively when storing tall objects. The shelves are also not spillproof and can easily be stained or damaged by sharp objects. It's simple to remove the trays in the fridge, but be sure to keep them clean to avoid the growth of mold.

The LG LRFLC2706S counter-depth fridge is a great choice for those who need lots of space within an extremely compact frame. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. The fridge features a standard French door layout, with two rows of shelves that can be used to capture spills and a set crisper drawers. The top shelf on the right can be folded down to make space for taller items. There's also a full-width drawer to store food items and an internal water dispenser.

One of the nice things about this refrigerator is that the ice maker is in the freezer, which makes it simple to move frozen ice to the fridge to be used when it is needed. The freezer also features thoughtful design features, like sliding drawers that allow you to sort your things. It has a large bin to store frozen food items, and a separate bin for ice.

Smart InstaView panel is another cool feature of the refrigerator. It lets you manage the refrigerator's temperature, lighting, and more from your smartphone. It's an easy way to monitor your refrigerator and manage it, especially when away from home.

The Smart InstaView feature is neat however it doesn't enhance the efficiency of the fridge. The fridge took a bit longer to chill food and defrost it than some others we tested. This could be due to its bigger capacity.

The doors are a different issue with this refrigerator. They have handles that are sunken on the front that allow smaller people to pull them open from the bottom, however they're not easy for taller people to guide shut without slamming them. It would have been much better if they had handles mounted on the front.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX fridge is a great choice for those who want to combine the look and feel of a french door style fridge freezer-door refrigerator with an efficient design. Its capacity is above average for a counter-depth model, and it cools evenly and has a great layout. It's also a bit cheaper than the most expensive counter depth refrigerator that comes with an ice maker, which makes it an attractive option.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

This Frigidaire French door refrigerator is a good option if you want a French-door refrigerator that doesn't cost a lot of budget. It's a simple fridge that may not be as appealing like some of its competitors however it has enough features to make a an excellent option. Its most important feature is the temperature adjustable drawer that helps keep food items such as meat and vegetables fresher for longer. It also comes with a huge water dispenser, as well as an excellent ice maker that operates quickly.

The "Chill Drawer", which is situated above the two crisper bins, is another nice feature. The drawer allows you to divert part of the fridge's cooling power directly to this area, so you can store foods that need extra attention. This feature can be adjusted by using an outside slider that is located inside the drawer. You can also use this to set a general cooling level for the entire fridge, though I've found that adjusting the general settings tends have a better effect than specific ones.

During my tests, the temperature of the refrigerator were fairly constant across the different areas of the fridge. Temperatures in the top and bottom of the fridge didn't vary significantly from 38 degrees, and the middle of the fridge was within a degree of 36. This is a good performance, but it doesn't quite make it to the top of our rankings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. You can also combine this fridge with an intelligent thermometer to get more precise measurements of the internal temperature of your fridge.

The exterior of the Frigidaire is made from grey-bodied stainless that has a "smudge proof" finish. It does an excellent job of preventing streaks and fingerprints from appearing, even compared to glossier stainless steel finishes on other appliances I've tried.
